V-RAM.ai workstation questions.
Clear answers about our local AI workstation hardware, configuration limits, delivery scope, storage upgrades, and returns.
What is V-RAM.ai?
V-RAM.ai builds purpose-built local AI workstation hardware for customers who want to own their compute hardware. Our focus is fixed, high-memory Windows 11 workstation systems designed around GPU capability, VRAM capacity, DDR5 memory, NVMe storage, airflow, stability, and sustained local use.
Why did you create V-RAM.ai?
V-RAM.ai came from a real buying problem. Buying a serious local AI workstation can be confusing, especially if you do not want to build a PC yourself or guess your way through CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, storage, power supply, cooling, and case decisions.
V-RAM.ai exists to make that buying process simpler by offering clear, fixed workstation platforms with selected hardware, professional assembly with room for expansion, and validation before delivery.
Why the name V-RAM.ai?
VRAM is one of the most important hardware limits in local AI work. It is the dedicated memory on the graphics card and often affects how much GPU-heavy work can be held directly in high-speed memory.
The name V-RAM.ai keeps the focus on what many local AI buyers eventually evaluate: GPU capability, VRAM capacity, system memory, airflow, storage, and upgrade path.
Does V-RAM.ai sell software or AI services?
No. V-RAM.ai sells workstation hardware only. We do not install AI software, AI models, workflows, cloud services, accounts, managed services, IT administration, or third-party AI tools.
What is included with every workstation?
Each workstation includes a fixed hardware configuration, professional assembly, Windows 11 installation, driver installation, BIOS configuration, airflow checks, cable management, thermal validation, and basic hardware stress testing.
What is not included?
AI software installation, AI model installation, workflow setup, cloud setup, managed services, third-party AI tool troubleshooting, and IT administration are not included. Customers are responsible for their own software environment after delivery.
Why are the systems fixed instead of fully custom?
Fixed platforms keep the buying process clear and controlled. Instead of asking customers to choose every part, V-RAM.ai offers defined workstation structures selected around local AI hardware needs.
This reduces confusion, avoids mismatched configurations, and keeps each build focused on power delivery, cooling, airflow, memory, storage, and GPU capability.
Can I customize the workstation?
Customization is intentionally limited. CPU, GPU, RAM, motherboard, power supply, case, cooling, fan structure, and RGB airflow are fixed by tier.
The approved customer-selectable options are SSD capacity increases for the main NVMe drive and secondary NVMe drive.
Can I upgrade the RAM?
No. RAM is fixed by tier. This keeps each workstation structure controlled and predictable.
The Operator starts with 64GB DDR5 memory (32GB x2), The Architect includes 96GB DDR5 memory, and The Executive includes 128GB workstation memory. Preferred Brand: Corsair.
Can I upgrade storage?
Yes. Customers may choose approved SSD capacity increases for the main NVMe drive and secondary NVMe drive. Storage upgrades are offered because customers may need more local capacity without changing the rest of the workstation structure. Preferred Brand: WD and WD_Black.
What is VRAM?
VRAM is the dedicated memory on the graphics card. For local AI workloads, VRAM matters because it affects how much work the GPU can hold directly in high-speed memory.
Is VRAM the same as RAM?
No. VRAM is part of the GPU. RAM is the system memory used by Windows, applications, files, tools, and background processes. Local AI workstation use can benefit from both, but they do different jobs.
Why does VRAM matter for local AI?
Many local AI workloads are constrained by available GPU memory. More VRAM can provide more headroom for high-VRAM compute tasks and longer local sessions. It does not guarantee compatibility with every workload, but it is one of the most important hardware considerations.
Does more RAM replace the need for VRAM?
No. More system RAM can help with multitasking, large files, local datasets, and workstation responsiveness, but it does not replace GPU VRAM. A balanced local AI workstation needs both system memory and GPU memory.
Are these gaming PCs?
No. These systems are not positioned as gaming PCs. They are local AI workstation hardware platforms designed around sustained GPU use, high-memory configurations, airflow, power stability, NVMe storage, and workstation reliability. However, they will play games too.
Does the workstation arrive ready to use?
The workstation arrives with Windows 11 installed, drivers installed, BIOS configured, and basic hardware validation completed. Customers then install and configure their own AI software, models, accounts, and workflows.
How long does delivery take?
Each system is built to order. Estimated delivery is 10-14 days from confirmed payment. Timeline may vary based on parts availability, GPU inventory, selected SSD capacity, build queue, and shipping conditions.
What is your return policy?
V-RAM.ai accepts returns for defective built-to-order workstation hardware only. Return requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery and must be approved before any item is shipped back.
Exchanges are not offered. We do not accept returns for buyer’s remorse, changed requirements, software compatibility, AI model performance, third-party software issues, or workflow setup needs.
What happens if I need more than the listed systems?
Higher-end workstation infrastructure can be quoted separately. The listed systems are the standard fixed tiers. Requests beyond those tiers are handled as custom hardware quotes and remain hardware-only.
Who is V-RAM.ai for?
V-RAM.ai is for customers who want serious local compute hardware without building a workstation themselves and without navigating enterprise workstation complexity.
It is for buyers who want a clear path to owning local AI-ready hardware with defined memory, GPU, VRAM, storage, cooling, validation, and expansion availability.
